A mild and slightly depressing retelling of a classic comedy. The character development is crude, and there were really no tense or exciting moments. The imagery helps make up for the the lack of character complexity and blasé story development. Overall it was a mildly amusing distraction occasionally bordering on tedious.

Not gripping like some of her others. Still haven't finished it.

I love how the story of twelfth night continues on with the children. Shakespeare is a major part in this story. Feste is also here....I thought it was a retelling, but it's like a sequel. Very detailed and well written.

Another great read from Celia Rees. Sovay was the first of her books I read and I fell in love. I recommend both books!

If you are a fan of Shakespeare's 12th night, this story will take your affection for that story & crush it.I'm not sure why the author felt that in order to have a new love story, she needed to trash the one which is was built on.The story does get a happy ending, but for me it was more bitter than sweet.This story is gritty, unpleasant & depressing. The reader has a front row seat to the unraveling of the romance of 12th night and it is tedious & painful. so what happens in the book ?Feste & Duke Orsino (& Violet's) daughter run around & meet all the old 12th night characters.***************spoilers**************Violet :it seems to be implied that she commits suicideOlivia: It seems to be implied that she commits suicide AND liked Violet more than Sebastian. Possibly Lesbianism feelings for VioletSebastian: drunkard & BFFs (& maybe something more?) with Antonio . Ignores Olivia & joins with Pirates & Venetians to make war on Illyria, he sells his son & his niece into slavery .Duke Orsino : Ignores Violet & is immersed in being a Duke & in preparing for war. He is killed when Sebastian's pirate/Venetian army bombard their way into IllyriaSir Toby: same as always, finally dies penniless & inebriatedMaria (his wife) helps Violetta , Stephano & FesteSir Andrew: turns out to be evilMalvoleo :is out for revengeWilliam Shakespeare: jumps into the story & interacts with Violetta & Feste

A thoughtful young reader might want to read and compare several of these. They all have a similar message, that Shakespeare could not have written such enduring masterpieces if he had not been a deeply humane, compassionate, and courageous person.

This is a wonderful devotional! Every day I feel as if my eyes have opened a little more in regards to my husband. If you feel your marriage could use a some help or simply a new perspective you will love this book. I purchase both the husband & wife version and my husband who is A new believer has found it very helpful and easy to read (English is his second language)All in all, I would highly recommend this book, along with its other half to bring you and your husband closer to each other and closer to God.

This is a great study so far, though a little simple and basic. But it does give me good ideas on how to be a godly wife, which is its purpose. I would say the only thing that would make it better is if the author went into more detail on her subjects and what Scripture says about them, maybe add more questions to make the reader think about what they are learning. Otherwise, I think she is doing a great job!

Obviously this devotional is written for wives. The author focuses on the good things intended in marriage while agreeing that it isn’t easy. I appreciated that she covered marriages where both are Christians and when only one of the partnership is a Christian. I also felt she backed up her statements by taking each lesson back to the scripture.This devotional focuses on what a wife can do to encourage, love, and support her husband. Each day the devotional beings with a scripture verse (or a few actually) followed by the thoughts or a story from the author that support the theme of the daily lesson. There is a prayer from the author as well as a personal challenge and an area for journaling. Each day includes a little status update for Twitter for those that want to connect on a social level.As I read through the book, I kept thinking this was pretty basic information. And then it hit me, maybe this is what so many women need early in their marriage. Marriage doesn’t come with a manual. Not everyone has close women friends that they can turn to for help or training. So while I thought this was simple in the approach, I found the scriptural points right on target.Hebrews 5:12 kept popping in my head….You have been Christians a long time now, and you ought to be teaching others. Instead, you need someone to teach you again the basic things a beginner must learn about the Scriptures. You are like babies who drink only milk and cannot eat solid food.While this devotional it is written for women of all ages and marital stages, I would recommend this more to newlyweds, younger wives, or new believers that are looking for a foundation study on marriage.Overall, I enjoyed the book. I would recommend it to newly married women. I would also recommend it be done in a small group setting instead of alone. Marriage is hard, there are no easy answers and I have found through my experiences; that having women at all points along the path to be important when questions and concerns arise.

Thank you Jennifer and Aaron for writing such beautiful prayers for the wives and husbands to speak over one another. Really a blessing! Although the book may be meant to go in order, I have found the different themes allow me to jump around and pray certain prayers as different circumstances arise in our lives.

This is our GO TO wedding gift! It is also our Christmas gift to all of our siblings and closed friends! Must read and re read and reread until you're living your life according to the scriptures!

Wife After God-- in my personal+humble+forward opinion>> A MUST, for those preparing for marriage, for those newlyweds, and for those who are seasoned wedded love birds! Whether or not your marital bliss is strong, or wearing thin-- Jennifer brings to light what the Bible says regarding marriage-- & Christian living (in marriage)! James 3:8 was a scripture reference at the intro of this devo book && that verse has stuck with me more (it used to be just a verse that I knew the general verbatim, but now I recall the reference and the verse!)! I like the personal prayer at the end of each day! The social media hashtag is great for those that want to share a snippet of their devotional, too! The Q&A/"journal" at the end of the devo for each day is so relevant and not just a "how does this make you feel!"!! Although I have just started this devotional, I am looking forward to continuing (not just through the 30 days, but re-reading it again!)!!!

I received this book in return for an honest review. It's a wonderful collection of everything holiday. The illustrations beg to be colored and are a compilation of all thing Christmas. I love the variety of images from ornaments and trees, to adorable Holiday characters, animals and snowmen and much, much more. This book will provide hours of coloring pleasure. The book is soft cover with pages measuring 81/2" square. Images are one sided and paper is adequate for markers and pencils.

This is a very cute little book... lots of different christmas themed pictures. Some are easier to color then others, so there is something for everyone in this book, from ornaments, to santas, to christmas themed mandalas.

I received this book for my honest opinion. This is the cutest book so many diffrent pictures to make your own when i got it and looked the first page had me hooked the cute little snowmen i love this christmas book

I received this book in exchange for my honest review. This in no way affected my opinion. That being said, I truly enjoyed the pictures in this book. It's 8 1/2" x 8 1/2", easy to take with you anywhere. Pictures are printed on good quality white paper, and are single-sided which is great if you want to frame your work. You can use pencils and gel pens. I would recommend using a sheet of paper underneath your drawing to prevent bleed thru. There is a good range of difficulty, from easy to very detailed. I highly recommend this book.

I received this book for my honest review... When I opened this coloring book, I was expecting the typical Santa, Christmas trees, ornaments, presents, snowmen drawings...but WOW, was I surprised...There are the typical Christmas pictures, but they are drawn in a beautiful, artistic way, not in the elementary style like some other coloring books...Included is a wonderful variety of pictures, ranging from very cute, "won't take days to color", to more detailed, intricately drawn...Some examples include mandalas, winter scenes, hanging ornaments and Santa Claus reminiscent of St. Nick in an old-village...The pages are on good quality, single sided, white paper...I recommend colored pencils, gel pens and pastels...You can use markers, but place another page behind the one you are coloring (alcohol markers will bleed through)...There are 40 coloring pages, a page to color in the front of the book and a color test page, so it is well worth the money...This is my third Pegasus Coloring Book and I'm definitely going to continue buying more...Happy Coloring

The pictures in this book a very lovely. Very well drawn and absolutely adorable. The one problem for me personally is, this is not a standard 8.5 x 11 size book, it is smaller therefore the pictures are smaller. You would only be able to use a medium with a smaller tip, and if your eyes are bad such as mine, it may hurt your eyes. I did try to color one pic and it took me a very long time because I had to keep stopping to let my eyes re-adjust. If you don't mind small pics and tiny details it's a great book.

This is a beautiful book. It is good paper, single sided images and clear concise drawings. They are wonderful to color.

This book would have been 5 stars, had it not been CreateSpace! I must have mixed up the Christmas books I was looking at because I wouldn't have bought it had I seen CreateSpace. The images are really cute, and some are unique.. which is what I liked about the book. The paper is below my standards. Sad. Wish that CreateSpace would give BETTER paper quality. But with that said, the pictures are nice, and the book is a nice size, images are nice...

Evolutionary drivers now include: mutation (traditional neo-Darwinism), genetic symbiogenesis, hybridogenesis, and epigenetics. Ryan shows that traditional neo-Darwinism is not sufficient in explaining how all the variation we observe in nature came about. Ryan's thesis is well supported by his research and that of others and it is empirically based. He is finding global support as well.One of the more interesting subjects covered in the text shows that viruses have played a significant role in evolution. Large segments of viral genes have been found in human (and other) genome code fragments; viruses will co-evolve with their host under certain situations rather than destroy them. This co-evolution symbiosis has historically contributed to the selection process and enhanced the survival of both the host and viruses and added creative variation to the gene pool of all life forms. Part of our gene structure is due to viruses intrusion and subsequent symbiosis and are inheritable.This book is a fascinating read but the material can be a rough read without a college level course in introductory biology or some medical training such as an RN, but a highly motivated or scientifically minded individual can understand what is being said. I read Nick Long's books about the origin of life and the production of energy earlier and I was left wondering what role to viruses play in the big scheme of things. I was even curious enough to rent a virology text book to learn about viruses, but it didn't explain the end game for viruses. Virolution points out that 43% of our human genome came from the genetic material in retroviruses. Amazing! Just like the mice controlling everything in "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" viruses have a role that is considerably bigger than their minute size. For anyone who is interested in figuring out what is going on this book is a must.

This book was way over my head. It's written for people in the field or similar fields that have some comprehensive knowledge of the scientific words he uses and ideas he expresses. Some words were not in the dictionary or Wikipedia. However that said, once read you begin to understand how complex evolution is; "we evolved from monkeys" is not as simple as it sounds. The theory started w/Darwin and evolving into more branches convinces the reader that we did not arrive here by the supernatural Wizard of Oz. Oh, how ignorant I am! How I envy those in their youth that are endeavoring to study any part of this science. My criticism is that scientists on this level need to reach down and write for me, the ordinary human. I don't need to grasp every concept in detail but I do wish after putting this book down I could explain what I read to a friend. Please do a Virolution for dummies.

this book is so fascinating i read it twice, back to back. will read it again. viruses are so involved in evolution it just capyures the mind!!!

This book compares itself to "The Selfish Gene", which I read decades ago and still remember vividly because it gave me a new way of looking at the world. With "Virolution" what I mostly remember are long passages about the author's conversations with certain scientists, many of those conversations merely planting an idea in his mind that he then decided to look into further ... through more conversations. I'm not averse to a long book with subtle arguments -- I read Darwin's "Origin of Species" a few months ago and was riveted. But Virolution merely seems plodding.

Ryan quotes Lederberg “terrestrial life is a dense web of beneficial interactions” and this book largely revolves around this fascinating concept.

The Boxcar Children Mysteries are a favorite of children 8 years to 12 years, and older. The children who read the adventures, get so involved, they can hardly wait to get back to the library, to check out the many other volumes. There is no offensive language or suggestions in these books. Just pure adventure and fun for the kids. Written like it was from the 50's. Good for gifts.

My grandchildren love the "Boxcar Children" books. It is nice to have a reliable series of books that you can depend upon to entertain and create a desire in children to read books. I found that the children actually looked forward to receiving a new book in the series.

I love the boxcar children series as it teaches about family, friends, teamwork, and making the best of all that comes our way in life. SHipping was very timely, the book was in great shape, and I appreciate the honesty of the seller.

The Boxcar Children are gifts to my grandson, and he LOVES them.
