I really enjoyed this book. It was hard to find a book on the apostolic anointing. It is a controversial subject, since many people believe that the office of apostles died with the original twelve disciples of Jesus. However John Eckhardt explains that this office has not died, but is alive and well and is growing in our times.He talks about what an apostle is, discussing the original meaning and usage of the Greek word. He mines the Scripture—in both the Old and New Testaments—for hidden nuggets and examples to illustrate what apostles do and how they help to build the kingdom of God. Eckhardt also talks about how the other leadership types should work together with apostles to equip the church and advance the gospel.Whether you think you may be an apostle, or you know an apostle, this is a good book to help you understand that role in the church. I think that pastors, in particular, should read this book, so that they know how to cooperate with these forerunners of the gospel and facilitate church growth and expansion.I listened to the audio version of this book first, but found that I needed a visual copy, so I could look up the Bible verses the author references. If you have both, then that makes it easier to review. This is a book you are going to want to reference often, and you may want to recommend to others. Therefore, you may want to get two copies.

This book really helped me to “see” and understand what is going on with my church. Why my ideas about how ministry should happen. I’m helped me understand why I was so interested in government and order. This book made a lot of things clear to me as far as what it means to be apostolic. I would recommend this to anyone in ministry or anyone who is tilting their head at some things going on in their church.

I loved this book. It brought so much clarity into what an apostle is and what their function in the Body of Christ is. Apostle Eckhardt gives clear and deceive role responsibilities for both an apostle and a prophet; seeing that they work closely together.

I loved this take on the apostolic. John broke down scripture in an easy to read manner, discussed why the office of apostle is still necessary, and then explained what it could look like based on examples from scripture. It was an easy read and an enjoyable one. There were a few parts that seemed repetitive but it wasn't enough to dock the rating.

This book answers many questions people have had about why the church is the way it is today. This book shows you through out, the blueprint to regaining our focus to be the church we are calling to be. Apostle Eckhardt confirms a lot of authority & power issues we see today!

I read this book several years ago when the Lord first began to introduce me to the call of the apostle, their work and responsibility to the Body of Christ. It provided rudimentary information that was helpful in getting me started in my understanding of God's calling on my life as an apostle. I have since been privileged to read other books on this subject i.e. (Apostolic Authority by Dr. Kluane Spake and Eternity's General's by Dr. Paula Price) and have been catapulted into another dimension and realm of understanding and appreciation for the duties of the apostle.I would recommend this book by Apostle John Eckhardt to those who are unfamiliar with apostolic ministry as it provides foundational information to persons seeking to understand what it means to operate and function as an apostle.

As always number 1

Outstanding photographs that I've never seen before of early and late Panzer IV's, some still in action, some knocked out - about a 50/50 mixture. The author's knowledge on the production variations of these tanks is staggeringly impressive, but that becomes actually a distraction and became somewhat annoying actually. Many of the photos show the Mark IV's in very unusual situations, but the lengthy captions will say nothing about what's going on in the photo, instead, page after page deals with minute details about the tank itself, who built it, and when, calling your attention to the number of rivets on side skirts or how the smoke canisters are installed or things such as that, rather than mentioning why some of the photos show intact Panzer IV's with Russian crews in them, apparently still operable, and still with all German markings intact. Others photos show IV's in really odd situations, and again, nothing is said about that, only about the production details of that particular tank. It makes reading the captions quite monontonous, but the photos themselves are well worth the price of the book, and this is an outstanding set.

He lives in Amorea, where all the people know and care and love each other. People don’t lock their doors. There are no children because ---. No cars because ----. No newspapers. No television. He has a cat named Martin and his fella is a waiter named Sean. He owns a bookstore called Bookworm. It’s very popular. People come in every day. There is a book club on Mondays where they sit around and discuss literature. The people of this town seem overly invested in making sure the proprietor of the bookshop and the waiter at the diner eventually get together. They are happy, healthy, and whole. Balance. This is everything to him. This place. This people. His home. This man. He doesn't care what the rest of this world is as long as Sean in it. So what if he can’t ---. Everything whites out. EVERYTHING IS hazy after ---. For a very long time. It’s precious, this thing between them, and Mike will protect it at all costs.Things are not what they appear, which I got it right from the beginning of the book. But I couldn’t figure out who Mike was talking about… , who was that guy. And finally, after the last third, I got it what was going on in a complete surprise.The romance line is sweet and tender,corresponding well with the location and its inhabitants, and supported by his writing prose- natural and fluid. Even thought the mystery is very strong part, their love moving the happening.I want to explain to you why I think this book is so different from other MM novels, but it's difficult to do without ruining your experience. This story really affected me- grips me immediately, until the end of the last chapter, and then I read the author's note about why he'd decided to write about this topic and I really realized how he had gotten the idea. I hope he writes more soon because, as you may have guessed, I'm an unapologetic fanboy of this particular direction.When my heart was crushed at the same time it was uplifted and my brain's working on the max, I cannot give this book any less than 5 stars

I'm sitting here after just finishing Murmuration trying to put my thoughts into words and wishing I could explain what I'm feeling, I don't think I'll be able to. TJ Klune is an amazing writer, although with the world in such a mess it's nice to leave the seriousness behind for just a little while and read books like The Lightning Struck Heart, Tell me it's real, The queen and the Homo Jock King and my personal favorite How to be a Normal Person, they make me laugh, cry (in a good way) and smile, so with that being said it takes me a while to read his books that I know will give me a headache. I'm not good with angst and sadness but TJ's writing is so good that I have no choice but to read his books like Into this River I Drown, Bear Otter and the Kid (just an over abundance of angst), and the many others that have caused my heart to hurt and now Murmuration.I was once again amazed at TJ's skill as a writer and while I had my mind set as to how I wanted this story to go he takes it so much further than my imagination can possibly go. I won't give the story away so I'll only say if you've ever had the pleasure of reading any of his other stories you will not be disappointed in this book. It's deep,dark, beautiful and as always very thought provoking. I had in my head this books ending and he did not let me down.

I typically only read romances, and Murmuration is not a romance in the typical sense, but it is about a romance. One that shouldn’t exist but does. One that’s determined to survive at any cost.I picked up this book solely for the writing. I have a mad crush on T.J. Klune, and his writing style fascinates me. I didn’t even bother with the blurb; I rarely do anyway. But, this story is out there so you may want to check it out first. Think: Pleasantville meets The Twilight Zone.The relationship between the two H’s is swoony and slow burning. I’m not usually a fan of slow burn, but it works for me here, and it’s vital to the plot. But because of this, I was able to put it down. I even read several books simultaneously. Even so, I loved it. It’s not a book you inhale; it’s a book you savor. It unfolds slowly, and I don’t think you can fully appreciate it until you’ve experienced it in its entirety.Aside from the writing style, Murmuration is nothing like Wolfsong. If that’s what you’re looking for, you won’t find it here. But if, like me, you’re obsessed with Klune, here ya go.

It's been a long time since I read a book that kept me so emotional and guessing right up until the very end. I recommend reading with a friend or two (or six) so you have someone to theorize and fret with--because I think you'll need it. Murmuration is beautiful and ugly, lush and harsh-- full of sweet romanticism and acerbic grittiness. This isn't my usual read. This isn't a book you read, it's a book you experience. Tj Klune, you knocked my socks off, and I need a week to recover. *Of note, I also listened to the audio version and its narration is excellent.

Ill be honest, I purchase all of TJ’s books, but I don’t read them rIght away. Why? Because I need to always prepare my brain for his writers voice, pace, and the uniqueness that is his brain. Where/ how does he come up with all these characters? This one has been sitting on my TJ folder for a bit, I was afraid to even start it because I knew it would be a mind f*&@. I don’t know if I can come up with the words to describe this book. I am still here trying to process what I just read. It’s a story about love but it’s so much more. It goes to a level that I don’t think I have seen written. I love to re-read books, but I don’t think I will be able to read this one until probably next year. I feel slightly changed, the thought provoking possibilities he has presented... I will need to digest, and maybe do some research. Read it and come to your own conclusions. 🤷🏽‍♀️
