What a quality handbag size booklet! I am impressed with the drawings and the colored pages of introduction and tutorial. The binding is glued but the pages can be torn off. There's a nice quote at the back of each coloring page (the pages are not double sided) with lined area to write thoughts down. It can double as a coloring journal.The paper is not the thickest but thick enough to use metallic water color paint (teal and pink block of colored area) and water soluble pastels (yellow area). The detail coloring I used metallic markers, metallic pencils, and regular color pencil (blue). The water brush pen is by US Art Supply (Pentel is the most popular choice in water brush pen sets). The wetness didn't cause the paper to break down, just a slight wobble when dried.BTW, I use a 6x9 size acrylic clipboard when I color. The clip keeps the other pages firmly staying behind the booklet (this is not a thick book therefore easy to keep it on the clipboard). A clipboard makes it easy to rotate the page you work on this way and that when coloring.
I've really enjoyed the adult coloring books lately and am always on the lookout for books with a different theme or look. I particularly love the ones that are a little bit smaller.Great things about the coloring book:1. perfect size2. fairly stiff paper, so it's fairly easy to color on your lapNot crazy about:the style (too many circles). I realize this is a personal style preference so I just gave it to one of my daughters who enjoys it quite a lot.
Incredible, fun pictures in a size that is actually doable. Sometimes the bigger pictures of other books is too daunting once you get started. These are actually perfectly sized. The sentiments insides are great, too. Probably best with colored pencils (not markers) as the pages are quite thin.
I love this coloring book. I color a lot and have a bunch of coloring books. I like how small this one is, but the images are quite detailed so it still takes me a while to finish one page. I especially like that there's only one stencil per sheet so that I don't have to worry about the colors bleeding through to the back of the page. I also really like that you can tear out the pages which is what I do since it makes coloring easier for me.
I got this as a small gift with someone with some nice colored pencils I got from TJ Maxx. I know he likes coloring as a way to relax and so this ended up being a great gift for under $10. He seemed to like it when I gave it to him! It came on time and in perfect condition
If you like coloring circles, this book is for you. It's fun, relaxing and the pictures come out great even if you don't pick the right colors. One of my favorites.
I love the mini size of this book, I love that some of the pictures are taken from her other books... I adore the style that she draws with and have never been disappointed with any of her books. I highly recommend this book or any of her books really!
There are some very nice designs in the book. The size does make the book easy to carry around. However, because the pages are smaller, they put too much design into each element. It would be nice if the designs in the pictures where a little more simple.
